Posner steamroller
How many local playwrights would give their right index finger to say they've had near simultaneous presentations of two different plays in New York and Los Angeles? (And Lincoln, Neb., too, though I'm guessing no one's losing a digit over that).
Welcome to Max Posner's summer. And oh yeah, he's all of 18.

Dietz is PEN finalist
The PEN Center USA is pleased to announce that
Dan Dietz (the Henry Award winning tempOdyssey) is a finalist in the 2007 Literary Awards competition.
Since 1982 PEN Center USA, a literary and human rights
organization affiliated with International PEN, has sponsored a
unique regional literary awards competition to recognize
outstanding works published or produced by writers who live in the western
United States.
Finalists are selected in ten categories -- from fiction to
poetry, drama to journalism, screenplay to nonfiction -- celebrating the
written word in all its forms.
Finalists are chosen by panels of judges comprised of writers,
editors, critics and booksellers.
According to PEN, the number and quality of entries was particularly high this year
and Curious is thrilled that one of our playwrights has risen to the top from among such worthy competition.
